Planning a Group Outing to a performance during the 2017 season?

We offer special menus and savings!

The Wooster Inn, right on The College of Wooster campus, is the closest fine dining option to the Freedlander Theatre, home of The Ohio Light Opera. The Wooster Inn is especially suited for groups. We have several settings for groups of any size:

  • Our Main Dining Room comfortably seats up to 65 guests; the group must be at least 30 or more to reserve this venue
  • The Alumni Room, also on the first floor, is able to accommodate up to 30 guests
  • The Library, on the lower level, can host up to 20 guests
  • Our tented patio provides an outdoor dining experience for groups up to 250 guests

With a little planning, we can create a memorable dining experience and get everyone to the theatre with time to spare. We will WAIVE our regular $5 per guest facility fee for qualifying groups. We have three dramatically discounted meal pricing levels from which to choose:

Served Soup & Sandwich

$14 PER GUEST (+ 20% service charge & 6.5% sales tax)

All guests will receive:

Save $3.50 per guest + the $5 per guest facility fee

Total Savings: $8.50 per guest

Served Plated Lunch

$17 PER GUEST (+ 20% service charge & 6.5% sales tax)

The entire group will be offered one of the following:

Save up to $5.50 per guest + the $5 per guest facility fee

Total Savings: $10.50 per guest

Served Plated Dinner

$25 PER GUEST (+ 20% service charge & 6.5% sales tax)

The entire group will be offered one of the following:

Save up to $5.50 per guest + the $5 per guest facility fee

Total Savings: $10.50 per guest

Menus change seasonally and are thus subject to change to entrees of similar value and ingredients

Menus can be customized to the dietary needs of the group or an individual in the group

Group entrée choices must be made two weeks before the scheduled event

Groups of 12 or more are eligible for group pricing

Guest counts and entrée selections are due three days before the scheduled event

Payment is due the day of the event; we cannot prepare separate checks for attendees

Spaces are reserved on a first come, first served basis

*Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase the risk of food borne illness.

For your convenience The Wooster Inn will add 18% service charge for parties of six or more.
