Wooster Inn Wine Cellar

With greater frequency, we are getting requests for a guided wine experience at The Wooster Inn. These gatherings are perfect for special celebrations or for creating a gathering of family and friends. The fact that we sell all our wines at State of Ohio minimum retail prices every day, we now sell more wine than any restaurant in the area. Combined with a 10% discount on the purchase of any case, customers have the opportunity to stock their home cellar whenever they choose.

Selling wine at state minimum prices without a corkage fee, no matter if you drink it at your place or at ours, has resulted in The Wooster Inn being once of the leading wine retailers in the area. Our inventory constantly changes and is certain to have a wine that suits your palate.

Generally these events are each individually designed depending on the guests who will be attending. Nonetheless, there is one commonality to all of them: the presence of Ken Bogucki, Proprietor & Executive Chef and/or Chris, his son who is the General Manager and oversees the beverage operation of The Wooster Inn.

These unique events are hosted by Executive Chef & Proprietor Ken Bogucki or his son, Chris Bogucki.

Ken Bogucki

Ken Bogucki

Ken studied with the Court of Master Sommeliers nearly fifteen years ago and, in the process, has come to personally know a number of winemakers. In developing his palate, Ken has taught wine classes and judged countless wine competitions. But perhaps the greatest compliment is the fact that winemakers wait for eighteen months to two years in order to be able to host a Winemaker’s Dinner where their wines are presented with courses that are uniquely developed and inspired by the flavors of the wine they put into the bottle.

Chris Bogucki

Chris was just 13 years old when Ken’s wine journey began in earnest. He had the opportunity to learn along the way and has also developed an excellent wine palate. He has also had the opportunity to work harvest in California for a few years. Consequently, he has experienced the wine-making process from the vineyard to the bottle.

Between the two of them, guests are addressed at their level of wine knowledge. From the novice to the most experienced wine aficionado, everyone will have the opportunity to explore the ever-expanding world of wine.
